CLEAN SWEEP INITIATIVE

Requests for Bulk Trash will not be accepted during the “Clean Sweep” Initiative (April-June 2025). Click the link below for more details.

 

BULK TRASH

Bulk trash pick-up may be requested two times a year, and no two requests can be made within the same month. Additional requests or bulk trash larger than the allotted amount will require a special pick-up a nominal cost. Call the number above to request a standard pick-up or schedule a special pick-up.

"Clean Sweep" + Bulk Trash Guidelines

  • DURING THIS TIME (APR.-JUNE, 2025) NO REQUESTS FOR BULK TRASH WILL BE PROCESSED. It is imperative that you’re trash/items for disposal are at the curb no later than 6am on the monday of your specified pickup week to ensure collection during this time.
  • Clean Sweep pick ups are at NO ADDITIONAL FEE.
  • These (3) pick ups will NOT count towards your (2) annual bulk trash pick ups. 
  • DO NOT place bulk trash in cul-de-sac’s or street for pick up. 
  • Bulk trash MUST be placed on YOUR property. (Property in which you have a utility account established.)
  • DO NOT set bulk trash on top of city water meters.
  • Small bulk trash (clothes, toys, etc.) MUST be bagged or boxed. Loose items will NOT be picked up.
  • Items should be at least (5) feet from any obstructions, including mailboxes, gas meters, cars, shrubs, trees, signs or anything else that could interfere with the mechanical lifting arm.
  • Items should be at least (10) feet away from the utility poles to prevent contact with any overhead power lines. Piles should NOT be placed under any high line wires or overhanging tree limbs.
  • This service is for the residents within the city of Del City ONLY. Commercial businesses are NOT included in the bulk trash program.
  • Unacceptable Waste (not eligible for pick-up) includes the following:
    • Hazardous waste (i.e., radioactive, flammable, explosive material)
    • Construction and demolition debris (i.e., materials resulting from construction, remodeling, repair, or demolition such as concrete or rocks)
    • Special waste (i.e., asbestos-containing material, PCB wastes, toxic material, paint, batteries, tires, oil or untreated medical waste)
    • Items or material resulting from a flood, tornado, major storm, or other act of nature or act of God or dead animals.
  • NO MORE THAN (4) CUBIC YARDS will be picked up. Approximately 3FTx6FTx6FT. For reference: (4) washing machines are approximately equal to (4) cubic yards.
