AWACS Park

Located on Sooner Road South of SE 29th Street. this park pays tribute to all lives lost and forever impacted by the 1999 tornado that touched down in the adjacent neighborhood. It also displays multiple AWACS planes which represent the 2011 resolution declaring that the City of Del City would formally adopt the 552nd Air Control Wing stationed at Tinker Air Force Base. The City partnered with the Chamber of Commerce to help support the airmen and their families.
