About the Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department aims to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for City employees and consults with City management to accomplish objectives relating to employee relations. This department is responsible for employment, compensation and classification, occupational health, workers’ compensation, employee development and insurance and retirement services.

Department Objectives
Below are the Human Resources Departmental objectives and goals.
- Support city departments with reliable and responsive HR service; aligns programs with overall department’s HR goals and priorities.
- Streamline processes, develop metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Plan, develop, implement and monitor various strategic HR initiatives, activities, programs and systems to meet the department’s needs.
- Effectively administer and implement the city and departmental policies and procedures.
- Process Family Medical Leave Requests and various personnel actions.
- Develop positive and professional working relationships with internal/external business partners and customers.
- Attract and retain a diverse workforce for the departments.

Employer Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday – 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday – 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
