About the Municipal Court

Del City Courthouse building.
The Municipal Court Jurisdiction handles violations of city ordinances, including parking, traffic, criminal and environmental, and the Municipal Court Juvenile Jurisdiction handles all violations of city ordinances for anyone under the age of 18. Please pay court fines or fees below.

Court Rules

Please be aware that due to fire marshal regulations, only the defendant, parent of a juvenile defendant, or juveniles with an adult defendant will be allowed in the courtroom.

  • Remain quiet while court is in session.
  • No food or drink in courtroom.
  • No profanity.
  • No guns.
  • No weapons of any kind.
  • No tobacco products.
  • Offensive or explicit tattoos shall be covered.
  • Cell phones and other electrical devices must be silenced.
  • No recording or recording devices of any kind.
  • Keep small children quiet and do not allow them to run in the courtroom.

Court Dress Code

You will be asked to leave if you are not dressed appropriately. Upon entering the Municipal Court facility, you are subject to search. If you are found to have a weapon or contraband, you will be charged accordingly.

  • No clothing depicting drugs or alcohol.
  • No tank tops, halter tops or tube tops.
  • No cut-off shirt sleeves.
  • No clothes with offensive slogans or pictures.
  • No low-cut tops.
  • No miniskirts or other high-cut dresses.
  • No hats, caps, face masks or sunglasses worn.
  • No shorts of any kind.
  • No chains on clothing or wallet chains.
  • Shoes are required. No flip-flops.
