Major Brad Cowden, Patrol Division Commander
Major Cowden started his law enforcement career with the Del City Police Department in 2010. During his tenure, Major Cowden has worked all patrol shifts and was assigned as an investigator in the Operations Division in 2018. Major Cowden was promoted to Lieutenant in 2019 and supervised night shift in the Patrol Division. In 2020, he was reassigned to the Community Policing Office where he promoted to Captain in 2021. In June 2022, Major Cowden was promoted to the rank of Major and assigned to the Patrol Division Commander.
The Patrol Division of the Del City Police Department provides 24/7 response to calls for service throughout the City of Del City. Officers in the Patrol Division are divided into three shifts and are responsible for the preliminary investigation of calls for police service. accident investigations, traffic enforcement, and crime prevention.
