CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
The Civil Service Commission was established as part of the City’s civil service system. Any officer or employee in the classified service of the City that is laid off, suspended without pay, demoted or removed by decision of the City Manager may file an appeal to the Civil Service Commission. Additionally, any officer or employee in the classified service who violates Sec. 15-29 of the Del City Code of Ordinances may be removed by the Civil Service Commission after adequate opportunity for a public hearing.
The Civil Service Commission consists of three members elected by the City Council for overlapping four-year terms.
