The Building Inspection division reviews permit applications and issue permits for all construction within the limits of Del City. It is our goal to maintain and ensure that all structures are safely built according to code  in order to maintain the public health, safety and welfare.

Building Inspections are conducted by the Inspection staff in the Community Services Department. Inspections are scheduled at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance with the Permit Technician.

Our inspection staff is certified and licensed in all the applicable building codes and attend Continuing Education classes for their licenses. Our Chief Building Inspector mainly inspects all constructions, reviews building plans, attends plan review meetings and issues permits and acts as the Housing Inspector when needed. Our Housing Inspector, conducts all of the Housing Inspection Program inspections.
