School Resource Officers
Lt. Kyle Preston, SRO
Lt. Preston started his law enforcement career in 2010 and was assigned to Del City High School as the primary school resource officer in 2020. Lt. Preston is passionate about the relationships he builds with the students at DCHS and is active in their continued success.
Ofc. Rachel Fittler, SRO
Ofc. Fittler was reassigned to school resource officer in 2022. Ofc. Fittler fills in for Lt. Preston when he is not available and spends the remainder of her time working in the city’s three elementary schools. Ofc. Fittler came to the Del City Police Department from the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office where he was a certified school resource officer.
DCPD’s two school resource officers are assigned to patrol and establish a presence at all Mid-Del Schools in the city. Del City High School has one permenantly assigned officer and the elementary schools have a roaming SRO, who will often visit all three schools in the same day.
