Each year the Del City Beautification Committee sponsors a Christmas Holiday Decoration Contest.  The program encourages community pride by decorating in the spirit of the holiday.  Individuals and businesses who have gone above and beyond in decorating their residence or business in an exceptional and creative approach are recognized for their hard work during the City Council meeting the third Monday of December each year.

Judging standards are based on:

Creativeness
Lights and Decorations
Originality
Overall Appearance

If you desire to nominate a residence or place of business who decoration style is impressive and have caught your eye, nominations timeline for this event is mid-November through the first part of December each year.

Displays for nominations are normally set-up in the lobby at :

City Hall, 3701 S.E. 15th Street or

Del City Community Center, 4505 S.E. 15th Street
